Single Vineyard Tuerong Chardonnay

Montalto Single Vineyard Tuerong Chardonnay is a single site wine grown entirely on the estate block at Tuerong, a warmer, drier area of the Mornington Peninsula.

The fruit is whole bunch pressed. Its juice, with a considered amount of grape solids, is transferred to new and seasoned French oak puncheons for wild yeast fermentation. Natural malolactic fermentation brings the natural acidity into check.

The wine matures on lees with stirring as needed. After about one year, the wine is blended and bottled.

Pale yellow, Montalto Single Vineyard Tuerong Chardonnay layers citrus flavours, savoury complexity and glossy texture. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
